NVIDIA has announced the availability of a new STUDIO graphics driver, namely version 442.19, which promises to resolve specific issues regarding DaVinci Resolve Studio, Redshift 3D, Optix 6 Denoiser, Optix Demand Load, and more.

Specifically speaking, the current release removes V-Ray intersection artifacts, makes sure Image Copy works between different GPUs (Quadro RTX and P-series with OpenGL), and fixes Modo crashes encountered when connecting monitors to separate GPUs in dual GPU systems.

In addition to that, NVIDIA extends the Maximum Frame Rate slider values (min=20, max=1000), includes several application profiles, and adds Virtual Reality - Variable Rate Super Sampling (VRSS) setting to the NVIDIA Control Panel (available for VR applications profiled for VRSS).

When it comes to compatibility, version 442.19 is suitable for both desktop and notebook configurations that are powered by Microsoft’s Windows 10 platforms (only for 64-bit architectures).

Therefore, if you intend to apply this package, save the proper one for your device, run it, wait as the wizard extracts all files required for the installation, and follow all instructions displayed for a complete upgrade.

Last but not least, once finished, it would be a good idea to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically by the wizard, make sure to carry it out manually to avoid any unwanted problems.
