Although NVIDIA's GeForce Now is a great streaming service aimed at gamers, the last few weeks have been quite eclectic for the company. Despite the fact that it's got a successful launch early this month, the latest news about GeForce Now has been negative.

But it looks like the sun has finally appeared on NVIDIA's street, as the company has just announced a major collaboration with CD Projekt Red, the studio behind The Witcher series. As the title says, NVIDIA confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077, the upcoming game from CD Projekt Red, will be playable on GeForce Now at launch.

This means that all GeForce Now subscribers, regardless of the tier, will be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 using the streaming service. Obviously, they will first need to purchase the game on Steam to be able to play it, as GeForce Now doesn't support GOG's game libraries yet.

Moreover, if you're a premium subscriber, you'll be able to experience the game with RTX ON, even if you plan on playing it on a Mac laptop.

Hi everyone, happy to share some exciting news: Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on GeForce NOW the day it’s released. GeForce NOW members will be able to grab their copy on Steam and play the game the moment it’s available. GeForce NOW Founders members can explore the streets of Night City with RTX ON, fully optimized and instantly available, even on your Mac laptop.”

This is an important marketing move from Nvidia, one that the company needed after so much negative publicity. It's baffling, although understandable, how many publishers decided to pull their games from NVIDIA GeForce Now, even before the service went live.

Apart from Activision Blizzard, publishers like Square Enix, Capcom, Bandai Namco and others have decided to remove most of their titles from GeForce Now. Let's hope NVIDIA will be able to negotiate new deals with these publishers and bring at least some of their titles back to the streaming service.
