NVIDIA has released a new version of GeForce Now, and this time the update comes with two big improvements for users out there.

First and foremost, it’s supposed for Apple Silicon.

As you probably know already, Apple launched its very own custom ARM chip called M1 in November last year, and with the first devices already available for purchase, developers are working around the clock on adding supposed for the new processor.

Nvidia is one of these developers, and now the company claims GeForce Now works natively on Apple Silicon. Version 2.0.27 is the first release that officially supports M1-powered Apple computers, so if you go for Apple Silicon, this is the build that you need to install.

Google Chrome support

In addition to official support for Apple Silicon, GeForce Now 2.0.27 also comes with early support for Google Chrome. This is quite big news, as the company previously added support for Safari, essentially allowing Apple users to connect to the service from an iPhone and iPad without the need for a dedicated app published in the App Store.

“Last year we launched a GeForce NOW beta for the Safari browser on iOS/iPadOS devices, which made it easy for millions to enjoy PC gaming. In 2.0.27 we are adding beta support for the Google Chrome browser, which will enable millions more prospective new PC gamers to easily play the latest games on Windows and macOS. (ChromeOS is already supported.)  Other platforms may work, but are unsupported,” Nvidia explains.

Whenever you connect to GeForce Now from a browser, you now get a new sharing option as well. Users can generate a URL for sharing a specific game on GeForce Now, and it all comes down to a few simple clicks no matter if you’re using Safari or Google Chrome.
