A second flash sale will be announced very soon

Nokia 6 was recently launched in China to great success if we are to take into consideration the fact that more than 1 million customers registered their interest in buying the phone. Unfortunately, not many have been able to do that, and that's not because of the phone's price.

As many of you probably know by now, Nokia 6 is available for purchase in China for the equivalent of $245. It's exclusively sold through major retailer JD.com where customers can reserve their phones by paying a $9 fee.

Unfortunately, that fee doesn't guarantee that you will get the phone during a flash sale. We reported earlier today that the Nokia 6 was sold out in less than a minute after it went on sale in China. While the achievement does look great at first glance, the number of units sold is what matters most.

HMD Global hasn't confirmed how many Nokia 6 units it sold during the first flash sale, and probably never will. Still, reports coming from China claim the Finnish company sold around 10,000 units, which is far below the number of 1.25 million registrations.

It's hard to confirm the number since HDM Global won't be sharing these details with the world, but it's worth noting that many popular Chinese smartphones like the Lenovo K4 Note sold around the same number of devices during their first flash sale.

HMD Global and JD.com must announce when exactly the second Nokia 6 flash sale will take place. Since there are so many customers interested in Nokia's first smartphone in a long while, we believe the device will sell out just as fast.

Not to mention that new Nokia-branded smartphones will be announced in late February at Mobile World Congress (MWC).

The future seems to be bright for HMD Global and its Nokia-branded smartphones, but the Chinese market is not the only one that the Finnish company must conquer if it wants success.
