We’re only a few weeks away from the moment when Apple will finally take the wraps off the new-generation iPhones, and the closer we get to the fall event, the more information emerges through more or less reliable sources.

This time, what we’re getting is a prediction from analyst Jeff Pu of Haiton International. Pu says the iPhone 14 Pro will continue to feature 128GB of storage on the base models, just like the iPhone 13 Pro lineup

In other words, Apple isn’t going to offer a storage upgrade on the base iPhone 14 Pro, despite the expected price increase.

This could be disappointing for some customers, but on the other hand, Apple is expected to offer the same storage options as on the iPhone 13 Pro, namely 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB on the top-of-the-range model.

“Based on our recent supply chain survey, we maintain our iPhone 14 build plan to be 91m in 2H22, vs. iPhone 13's 84m in 2H21, as there is no significant issue on the supply chain. The next to watch will be iPhone 14's pricing and the wait-time when it hits the market. Spec-wise, we add 128GB storage to the Pro line-up,” the analyst has been quoted as saying.

Apple’s iPhone 14 lineup will include both the Pro and the Pro Max, but also two standard versions that will be sold as iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max (or Plus). The iPhone mini form factor has been dropped, as Apple isn’t pleased with the sales of the device, so the company will bet all-in on the larger siblings.

The new models could be announced earlier than anticipated, as some people believe the fall event could take place in the first week of September. The sales will then kick off by the end of the month.
