Ninja Gaiden fans rejoice! Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja are bringing the highly-acclaimed Ninja Gaiden series to PC and consoles. Dubbed Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, the bundle will include the classic game Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, along with most of the previously released game modes and DLC costumes.

More importantly, Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection will release on June 10 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. All games will be playable via backward compatibility on the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

Ninja Gaiden is one of the most important and monumental titles for the Team NINJA brand, but we haven't been able to release the series title on current generation platforms, so I am very delighted to be able to release it in this format as a trilogy. If you enjoy challenging action games, we hope you will give it a try,” said Yosuke Hayashi, Chief Head of Team Ninja.

The announcement doesn't mention any graphics improvements, so we must assume there won't be any. However, let's not forget that all three Sigma titles are enhanced versions of the original Ninja Gaiden games. There's a huge debate on which versions are better, as developers made massive content changes when they ported the older titles to newer platforms, such as removing most of the gore.

In any case, if you're into fast-paced fighting games in which you quickly die, again and again, Ninja Gaiden Master: Collection is likely to satisfy your needs.

On a side note, Team Ninja revealed a nice surprise for Nioh 2 players. To celebrate the reveal of Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, developers have created the “Dragon Ninja” skin, which players can use to transform themselves into Ryu Hayabusa, the protagonist of Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection. Players who own Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition on any platform or Nioh 2 (PS5 and PS4) can download this costume for use in-game starting on February 18.
