Microsoft is getting ready to ship another batch of cumulative updates for Windows 10 in order to resolve security vulnerabilities in the operating system and deliver a fresh set of bug fixes.

The rollout will take place as part of the July 2019 Patch Tuesday cycle, and while the focus will indeed be on addressing security flaws in Windows 10, Microsoft will also ship additional fixes for computers running its latest operating system.

In addition to the typical cumulative updates, Microsoft will also release new monthly rollups for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. Just like the Patch Tuesday cumulative updates, this will include both security and non-security fixes – security-only updates will also be included in the rollout for those who just want to patch the known vulnerabilities.

All Windows 10 versions getting patched

July 2019 will bring Windows 10 cumulative updates for all versions currently on the market, as it follows:

Windows 10 May 2019 Update (version 1903)
Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809)
Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803)
Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709)
Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703)
Windows 10 Anniversary Update (version 1607)
Windows 10 November Update (version 1511)
Windows 10 original version
However, what is worth knowing is that consumers running Home and Pro SKUs of Windows 10 only receive updates if their devices have already been upgraded to the April 2018 Update and newer.

Everyone else needs to be part of the LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) or run Windows 10 Enterprise or Education SKUs, if these versions are still supported.

As it happens every month, Microsoft recommends users to install these updates as soon as possible, especially as security fixes will be included. We’ll keep an eye on the rollout and let you know should we discover any problems with these new cumulative updates.
