Start11 has long been one of the most advanced customization tools for Windows, and as far as Windows 11 is concerned, it comes with options you won’t find elsewhere.

The most recent version of the app is just the living proof in this regard, as it includes an option to add seconds to the Windows 11 clock, as well as integration of Microsoft Edge tabs in the Windows Search experience.

Start11 version 1.22 is therefore a pretty important release, especially for those who have decided to stick with Microsoft Edge as the default browser on their devices.

“If you use Edge as your browser, your opened tabs will now show up in your search results. Along with your tabs, we have updated the search results experience to boost the most recent run app of a search query to help you find your relevant content faster,” Stardock, the parent company that made Start11 happen, explained.

Seconds for the Windows 11 clock

Furthermore, the latest update brings seconds to the Windows clock, but worth knowing is this feature is only available for users who are part of the Windows Insider program.

Stardock explains that users who are running the stable version of the operating system wouldn’t be able to enable the seconds in the Windows clock, but on the other hand, once the major feature update goes live later this year, this option should become available for everybody out there.

“In addition to the search updates, you can now add the “seconds” back to the clock on the Taskbar if you are running a dev or beta channel build of Windows 11. Note that those on the release build of Windows 11 will not see this option, but once Microsoft updates the OS to a newer build the option will appear,” Stardock notes.
