Event Horizon, the Polish studio behind Tower of Time, has just released a new Dark Envoy trailer that showcases the upcoming game's protagonists and teases gameplay. The studio's new project, Dark Envoy isn't going to release this year, but the game can be wishlisted via Steam in case you like games such as Pillar of Eternity and Divinity: Original Sin 2.

The latest trailer for their upcoming RPG Dark Envoy is meant to offer fans of the genre a closer look at the game’s sibling leads: Malakai and Kaela. Their journey begins with tragedy and they have many tough decisions ahead of them, some of which will change the course of the game's rich, fantasy world of Jäan.

It's important to mention that Dark Envoy is a non-linear sci-fantasy RPG set in a world shaken by the dichotomy between magic and technology. The entire campaign can be played solo or with a friend in two-player co-op. Throughout the world, players will travel using a Skyship as their base of operations.

Jäan shifts with the passage of in-game time, so the decisions of where to go will often be as impactful as what you do when you arrive, taking on quests or world events and tipping the balance throughout this blossoming conflict.

Gameplay-wise, Dark Envoy features real-time combat with the ability to slow time or pause as you make important tactical choices. If you're familiar with Tower of Time, you'll understand that this is the same combat system.

During the game, players will be able to recruit characters to add to their ship's crew. Dark Envoy features 4 base classes and 16 specializations, but players must discover the hidden ones in remote locations or through special quests.

Finally, developers promise high-production values featuring motion-captured animation, beautiful, scenic locations, and gorgeous combat effects all in 4K.
