Apple has only recently launched the Apple Watch Series 6, but it looks like the Cupertino-based tech giant is already working on a major upgrade planned for 2021.

More specifically, top Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says a new form factor for the Apple Watch is set to go live in the second half of the next year. Judging from the past announcements, the new smartwatch could see the daylight in September or October.

Unfortunately, no other specifics have been shared, but this device is expected to be quite a big upgrade.

In the meantime, the Apple Watch Series 6 is selling really well, according to the analyst, and so does the Apple Watch SE too.

And speaking of strong sales, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are apparently leading in terms of shipments, despite obviously being the more expensive models in the new iPhone 12 lineup. Both the standard iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 mini are selling slower these two upgraded models.

New iPhones obviously coming next year too

In addition to the new Apple Watch Series 7, Apple is also preparing upgraded iPhone models, and the most affordable device is the foldable smartphone that the company is believed to be working on.

However, people familiar with the matter suggested this ambitious project is more likely to launch in 2022 rather than next year, as Apple just wants to make sure everything is working as planned.

So for now, the Cupertino-based tech giant would stick with a 2021 iPhone lineup that’s similar to this year’s, mostly with upgrades in key areas like the processor and the camera. The focus would obviously continue to be on 5G connectivity, just like it happens this year when all iPhones come with such capabilities.
