Long-running free-to-play MMORPG Neverwinter is getting its 22nd module today, Dragonbone Vale. Developer Cryptic Studios announced the new expansion is only available on PC and it will launch on PlayStation and Xbox consoles on February 8, so in about a month from now.

Story-wise, Dragonbone Vale expansion marks the return of the game’s main antagonist, the evil lich Valindra Shadowmantle, who once again is threatening the Sword Coast alongside the Cult of the Dragon, who have come to posses an ancient artifact with the potential to amplify their rituals of undeath.

Just like many of the previous modules, this one introduces a bunch of new playable content and major update for Neverwinter players to explore. The new adventure zone included in the module introduces unique features like grappling hook traversal mechanics, which are available to Neverwinter players for the first time ever.

Also, a new faction reputation system that allows players to unlock various rewards and features (faction cosmetics, companion gear, and more) by completing faction-specific quests (heroic encounters, defending supply lines, gathering dragonsight treasures and more).

More importantly, a new 10-player trial where heroes will face Valindra and the dracolich Palhavorithyn atop the dwarven ruins of Keldegonn. Players can start to unlock the Crown of Keldegonn trial on January 18.

Furthermore, a brand-new epic adventure called Scaleblight Mythal has been added. Members of the Shield of the North Alliance assault the location of a great ritual and fight to stop Valindra and the Cult of the Dragon from invoking Rite of the Dracolich to bring undeath to all dragons. Players will have access to this adventure on PC beginning February 8 and on consoles starting March 8.

Last but not least, the 22nd module for Neverwinter brings an enchantment and refinement overhaul, including quality of life improvements to the refinement system and all-new enchantments.
