A new Surface Pro model is expected in 2021

Microsoft has already launched the Surface Pro 7+ earlier this year, and while everybody expected this device to be a completely new model, there’s no doubt the software giant took everyone by surprise with a rather subtle upgrade focused on new hardware and the same design.

So it goes without saying that many people were disappointed to see the Surface Pro lineup sticking with a rather outdated design, especially given the huge bezels that don’t seem to go anywhere for the time being.

But make no mistake, Microsoft is already working on a more modern version of the Surface Pro, and according to a recent report, this one should go live as soon as the second half of 2021.

In other words, Microsoft is still planning the highly-anticipated Surface Pro 8, and if everything goes according to the plan, it could see the daylight in the last months of the year.

Typically, the Redmond-based software giant announces new Surface models in the fall in either October or November, so we should see the new Surface Pro 8 announced officially towards the end of 2021.

Of course, the Surface Pro 8 will also come with a massive hardware upgrade, but probably the thing that everybody will love is the new design that’ll most likely include smaller bezels and an increased screen to body ratio. In other words, the Surface Pro 8 will look and probably feel much more modern than its predecessors, and this is something that totally makes sense for a product launched in 2021.

For the time being, however, Microsoft has remained completely tight-lipped on everything related to the new Surface, so it’s better to take such reports with a healthy pinch of salt for now. More information will probably reach the web as we approach its launch date.
