Microsoft is bringing Microsoft Teams to the Microsoft Store on Windows 11, according to a new report, while several other big apps, including TeamSpeak, are also projected to land in the overhaul store on the new operating system.

According to a report from Deskmodder, the download links for the Microsoft Store listing belonging to Microsoft Teams are already live, though, at this point, the application isn’t showing up for everybody.

For example, searching for Microsoft Teams on my Windows 11 PC doesn’t point me to the app, so most likely, the Redmond-based software giant is still running some experiments before making the app available for everybody.

Microsoft Teams listed in the Microsoft Store makes total sense, especially as the company wants to make the store the one destination for everything. And in Windows 11, the store is getting a massive overhaul that includes third-party app stores, including the Epic Games Store, as well as more browsers, as they’re now allowed to use their own engine.

In Windows 11, Microsoft Teams is an integral part of the modern experience, as it’s integrated right into the taskbar for more convenient access to your personal chats.

“With Windows 11, we’re excited to introduce Chat from Microsoft Teams integrated in the taskbar. Now you can instantly connect through text, chat, voice or video with all of your personal contacts, anywhere, no matter the platform or device they’re on, across Windows, Android or iOS. If the person you’re connecting to on the other end hasn’t downloaded the Teams app, you can still connect with them via two-way SMS,” Microsoft said.

The rollout of Windows 11 is currently under way, but Microsoft has previously promised to complete it by mid-2022 when all eligible devices should be allowed to install the new OS.
