Microsoft is expected to take the wraps off the Surface Pro 7 at the company’s upcoming October 2 event, but so far, very little has leaked about this model.

And yet, here we are less than a month before the official unveiling of the device checking out the very first notable leak pointing to what seem to be the hardware configurations that Microsoft will offer for the Surface Pro 7.

A report from German site WinFuture reveals that Microsoft will offer a total of five different versions of the Surface Pro 7 in an attempt to target as many potential buyers as possible.

First and foremost, it’s important to note that the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 will be offered with the latest-generation Intel processors, and according to this leak, there will be three different SKUs, namely Intel Core i3, Intel Core i5, and Intel Core i7.

More recently, speculation swirling around the web suggested that an ARM version could also see daylight, albeit today’s report appears to suggest otherwise.

No 1 TB storage version

The five different SKUs to be offered in the Surface Pro 7 lineup are the following:

Microsoft Surface Pro 7, Intel Core i3, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD
Microsoft Surface Pro 7, Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD
Microsoft Surface Pro 7, Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD
Microsoft Surface Pro 7, Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD
Microsoft Surface Pro 7, Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD
The good news is that all models will come with generous SSD storage space, but on the other hand, the bad news is that the maximum storage is 512 GB. There’s no word on a 1 TB version right now, but it could be added at a later time depending on demand.

The Surface Pro with an Intel Core i3 chip will probably be priced more aggressively, albeit as we’ve already gotten used to already, we should still expect it to come with a premium price tag.
