14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft took the wraps off the Surface Pro 7 at the company’s hardware event on October 2, and pre-orders for this new model started right after the show.
The shipments, however, weren’t supposed to begin until October 22, according to Microsoft’s very own schedule.
And yet, it looks like the luckiest of the Surface Pro 7 buyers have already received the device, with a customer explaining on reddit that his Intel Core i5 version with 128GB of storage arrived a lot earlier than expected.
This Surface Pro 7 was purchased from a third-party Microsoft retailer in Norway, so there’s a chance that some other Europeans might be getting their devices earlier than anticipated. There are no reports of customers receiving the Surface Pro 7 before the October 22 date in the United States.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 comes with little changes as compared to its predecessor, so it features the same 12.3-inch screen like the Surface Pro 6. It does, however, come with USB-C, which can also be used for charging, and this is quite an upgrade for customers who wanted to get rid of the Surface charger.
However, it’s important to know that Microsoft hasn’t publicly announced that USB-C charging is supported, so there’s a chance that the company still doesn’t recommend anyone to do this unless they are power users who rely on fast chargers for the whole thing – the charging speed can vary from charger to charger, and this is the reason some manufacturers are reluctant to using USB-C in the first place.
Surface Pro 7 is available from $749 in the United States, and it is offered in two different colors, namely Platinum and Matte Black. The keyboard and the Surface Pen are both sold separately, as the box only includes the Surface Pro 7, a power supply, a quick start guide, and safety and warranty documents.
