Surface Duo is Microsoft’s first Android device in history, and the company has promised monthly updates, as per Google’s release strategy for its mobile operating system.

As a result, Microsoft publishes new updates for the Surface Duo every month, and the November 2020 pack of improvements is now available for download.

The November 2020 Microsoft Surface Duo update comes in a 137 MB package, and it increases the build number to 2020.1014.61.

Needless to say, it also comes with all the security improvements that were part of the November 2020 Android security patch level, so all the fixes that have been shipped to Google Pixel devices earlier this month are now available for Microsoft users too.

In addition, the new Surface Duo update also refines the camera image quality, according to Microsoft itself, while at the same time improving touch and device stability. And last but not least, the Redmond-based software giant says the update refines the experience with moving or dismissing apps when spanned across both screens.

The Surface Duo continue to be available exclusively in the United States, and people close to the matter said Microsoft will reconsider its plans regarding market availability in early 2021

In other words, this will be the moment when the software giant will finally decide whether it brings the Surface Duo to international markets or keeps it exclusive to the United States.

In the meantime, it’s believed that the Redmond-based software giant is already working on the second-generation Surface Duo, and the earliest it could go live in the holiday season of 2021. This new device is expected to address the main problems of its first generation, including the outdated hardware, thus coming with the latest mobile processor available at launch.
