Microsoft has started the rollout of Windows 11 2022 Update, and needless to say, this is just the right opportunity for the software giant to praise the capabilities of its operating system.

The security features that are bundled with Windows 11 are getting a revamp in this update, as new additions are now going live for all users.

At the end of the day, all these efforts make Windows 11 the most secure version of Windows ever released, as it’s able to protect users and their data in a way that has never been possible before.

New security features rolling out today

“Online safety, data privacy and security are top concerns for people and their families. Windows 11 is the most secure version of Windows yet. Microsoft uses over 43 trillion security signals daily to inform our comprehensive security solutions,” Panos Panay, EVP, Chief Product Officer, Windows + Devices, explains.

“Now we’re introducing Smart App control so you can confidently download any app you need without worry. We also know that security threats don’t stop when you shut your laptop, which is why we’ve built the Defender app for Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers. Microsoft Defender for individuals extends Windows’ built-in security and expands device protection to your Android and iOS phones and Macs. Microsoft 365 customers in the U.S. will soon receive identity theft monitoring to help keep themselves, and their family’s personal information, safer online as part of their Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription.”

Windows 11 2022 Update is rolling out in stages to devices out there, so not everyone will receive it on day one. However, if your computer is already eligible for the update, you can just check for updates manually in Windows Update, and the device should then be offered the new bits.
