Microsoft has released a new Surface Duo ad, once again featuring celebrity gymnast Katelyn Ohashi and highlighting the capabilities of the dual-screen form factor.

Microsoft keeps investing in its marketing push for the Surface Duo, especially as the company is getting ready to launch the device in more markets.

The company announced last year the Surface Duo would go live in more markets across the world in early 2021, all based on customer feedback after the device originally launched in the United States alone.

International launch soon

The Duo is set to launch in Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany in the coming months, though for now, no specifics on the international debut of the device have been shared.

“There is incredible potential in this new device category to push the boundaries of productivity and creativity on a mobile device. We find inspiration in all the ways Surface Duo has sparked the imaginations of our customers and partners. It’s fantastic to see just how this product has unlocked new ways to get things done, and we are honored to see TIME and others recognize Surface Duo as one of the best inventions of 2020,” Microsoft said in a recent announcement.

In the meantime, the company is also believed to be working on the second-generation Surface Duo, and people familiar with the matter said the device would resolve all the shortcomings of the first model.

In other words, the Duo 2 would launch with the latest-generation Qualcomm processor and upgraded capabilities that would bring it on par with the other flagships on the market. For the time being, however, Microsoft has remained completely tight-lipped on everything related to the next Surface Duo, especially as the work is currently under way behind the closed doors in Redmond.
