A new OOBE experience was included in the latest build

Microsoft is working to improve Windows 10 from one end to another, and this means that the company doesn’t just want you to feel the operating system fresh and modern after logging in to the desktop, but also when actually installing it.

The software giant has already announced a new OOBE experience that would allow users to choose how they want to use their computers and then be provided with a configuration setup that is tailored to the selected experience.

But according to Twitter user Albacore, there’s more to come to Windows 10 users, and it’s all powered by the Windows 10X experience. Windows 10X is the modern operating system built by Microsoft for dual-screen devices but which would also go live on single-screen models in the coming months.

More specifically, the new setup screen that is currently part of the latest Windows 10 preview build actually includes a completely new and more modern design, with options displayed on a white background as part of a refreshed UI that makes more sense for a modern operating system.

Interestingly enough, Microsoft hasn’t announced this change in the release notes of its latest Windows Insider preview build, but most likely, the company will share more information on the whole thing when it considers it polished enough for everybody to try it out.

Of course, it’s too early to tell when the new feature would go live for users, but the good news is that more parts of Windows 10X are making the switch to the desktop. Users seemed to love the modern approach of Windows 10X, and many asked Microsoft to it to the desktop too, and this seems to be exactly what the company is doing right now, albeit this migration happens mostly quietly.
