Microsoft has recently released Windows 11 build 22504 to users in the Dev channel. This new build comes with several new features, with Microsoft announcing that another build wouldn’t land next week due to the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday.

Windows 11 build 22504, which can be downloaded right now from Windows Update on devices that are already enrolled in the Dev channel, comes with personalized combinations of emoji.

“We have added the ability for personalized combinations of emoji based on face and skin tones of family members, couples with heart, kissing, and people holding hands. Just open the emoji panel (WIN + . ) and try these combinations out by typing the following in the search box: family, couple, holding hands, or kissing. This isn’t available to all Insiders just yet as we plan to monitor feedback and see how it lands before pushing it out to everyone,” Microsoft explains.

Furthermore, the company has introduced a new keyboard shortcut, namely Windows key + Alt + K to toggle the new mute icon in the taskbar when it’s showing.

There are also additional changes in terms of accessibility.

“We’re making a change so that going forward on new installs the touch indicator option will now be turned off by default under Settings > Accessibility > Mouse pointer and touch. As part of this change, we’ve added a link to this Settings page from Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Touch and made it so that the press and hold visual is now always displayed regardless of the setting state,” the company says.

Just like before, there are also several new fixes but also more known issues, and you are strongly recommended to check out the full changelog in the box after the jump for full details about this release.

The changes included in Dev channel builds don’t have a specific ETA to land in production builds.
