Yet another 19H1 build available for Fast ring insiders

Microsoft has just released a new Windows 10 version 1903 preview build for Fast ring insiders.

Codenamed 19H1, this new Windows 10 feature update is projected to be finalized in March, and with a Bug Bash already running, it makes sense for Microsoft to focus more on fixing bugs rather than on new features.

Windows 10 build 18323, however, includes several notable changes, such as improved RAW image format support.

“By downloading the new Raw Image Extension (Beta) package from the store, you can now view image thumbnails, previews, and camera metadata of previously unsupported raw files right in File Explorer. You can also view your raw images – at full resolution – in apps such as Photos or any other Windows app that uses Windows Imaging Component framework to decode raw images,” Microsoft explains.

The new RAW image extension is available in the Microsoft Store for users who already installed this new build.

Light theme refinements

Additionally, this new build also comes with improved light theme. Microsoft is adding a new light theme in Windows 10 version 1903, in addition to the dark mode that’s already available, and this build further refines its performance.

For example, it includes a new Settings icon that is dark grey in the taskbar and not black as it’s currently the case. This makes it align with the new light theme and be more visible.

There are also several other smaller improvements and fixes, and you can check them in full in the box after the jump. Known issues are also included, and you should give them a read before installing Windows 10 build 18232 just to know what to expect.

The public rollout of Windows 10 version 1903 is due to kick off in April, so many of the builds that will launch in the next couple of months will be mostly focused on fixing bugs.
