Microsoft has just rolled out Windows 10 Redstone 2 build 14926 for insiders enrolled in the fast ring and just like we predicted earlier today, it is available for both PCs and mobile phones.

Windows 10 build 14926 comes with several improvements that we’ve already heard about thanks to leaks, and one of them is the so-called Snooze feature in Microsoft Edge. This allows users to set a Cortana reminder on the page that’s currently being loaded in the browser and get a notification in the Action Center, so they can quickly open the site at a more convenient time.

There is also a new Wi-Fi settings page for mobile devices which brings smartphones in line with PCs, as the new look is inspired from the existing design on desktops.

“The new Wi-Fi settings page isn’t complete yet as we continue to port over functionality. If need, you can fallback to using the Wi-Fi (legacy) settings page to access any missing functionality. In addition, we added the capability for you to connect to WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) networks on your phone,” Microsoft explains.

Removed apps no longer re-installing

Microsoft is also making an important change regarding pre-installed apps. Starting with this build, if you remove apps that come pre-loaded with Windows, they are not automatically reinstalled when updating to a new build, a feature that Microsoft says has been often requested by insiders.

“One of the ongoing feedback items we’ve heard is how the apps that come preinstalled with Windows will reinstall after each upgrade – particularly noticeable for our Insiders that receive multiple flights per month,” it says.

And last but not least, Microsoft is also addressing one of the biggest annoyances with PIN logins, turning on the Num Lock by default when authenticating to Windows. In stable versions of Windows 10, users need to manually enable Num Lock before inputting the PIN and this is super annoying especially when you are in a rush.

This new build also includes several other improvements and fixes for both PC and mobile, but also known issues, and you can check them out in the box below.
