Microsoft has just released the first 2019 build of Windows 10 19H1, and just like before, it is available for download for users in the Fast ring.

Windows 10 build 18309 doesn’t bring too many changes, but it does release the new Windows Hello PIN reset experience to all versions of the operating system.

Previously, in Windows 10 build 18305, this new feature was only pushed to the Home SKU, but beginning with this new release, it is available for everyone regardless of the version they are running.

The new Windows Hello PIN reset experience is based on a familiar look and feel that resembles the one when signing in on the web. This way, users can reset their PINs more easily when trying to log in to Windows 10.

Narrator improvements

Additionally, Microsoft is also promoting its password-less push to all Windows 10 versions, after previously making it available to the Home SKU exclusively.

“We’re pushing forward on eliminating passwords and keeping your accounts safe with another cool feature. With Build 18305, we announced support for setting up and signing in to Windows 10 with a phone number account, without having to create, or deal with the hassle of a password for Insiders using the Windows 10 Home edition. Today, that support is extending to all Windows 10 editions!” Microsoft announces.

There are also several Narrator improvements, including options to add more voices, refined Narrator Home navigations, and better table reading in PowerPoint.

There are lots of other general changes, improvements, and fixes, but also a bunch of known issues, and you can find them in full in the box after the jump.

Windows 10 19H1 is projected to be finalized in the spring of this year. As per Microsoft’s typical roadmap, it should be ready in March for Windows insiders, while the public rollout should kick off in April.
