Microsoft has released new Windows 10 cumulative updates for Windows 10 devices as part of the April 2021 Patch Tuesday rollout.
Needless to say, given these updates land on Patch Tuesday, the focus is mostly on security fixes, as Microsoft uses them to resolve vulnerabilities in the operating system and the other components.
All Windows 10 versions are getting cumulative updates, as soon as they’re still supported by the company as part of one of its channels.
The full list of cumulative updates shipping this month is the following:
- Windows 10 version 1507 — KB5001340 (OS Build 10240.18906)
- Windows 10 version 1607 — KB5001347 (OS Build 14393.4350)
- Windows 10 version 1703 — EOS
- Windows 10 version 1709 — EOS
- Windows 10 version 1803 — KB5001339 (OS Build 17134.2145)
- Windows 10 version 1809 — KB5001342 (OS Build 17763.1879)

- Windows 10 version 2004 and 20H2 — KB5001330 (OS Builds 19041.928 and 19042.928)
Windows 10 version 1909 set to reach EOS next month
In addition to the new cumulative updates going live today, one particular tidbit that’s worth having in mind is a warning that Microsoft published regarding the approaching end of support for Windows 10 version 1909.
This particular OS version would reach end of service next month, so customers still running it have less than one month to upgrade unless they run Enterprise, Education, and IoT Enterprise SKUs.
“Windows 10, version 1909 will reach end of service on May 11, 2021 for devices running the Home, Pro, Pro for Workstation, and Server SAC editions. After May 11, 2021, these devices will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates that contain protection from the latest security threats. To continue receiving security and quality updates, Microsoft recommends updating to the latest version of Windows 10,” Microsoft explained.
Windows 10 cumulative updates are available on Windows Update right now.
