Three new themes listed for download in the Store

Microsoft has released a trio of new 4K themes for Windows 10, and users can download them right now from the Microsoft Store.

Just like all the previous versions that Microsoft released in the Microsoft Store, these themes are nothing more than wallpaper packs that allow you to change the desktop background with a high-quality image.

So the 4K tag that you see here only refers to the quality of the photos you can use as desktop backgrounds, which isn’t necessarily bad, but still disappointing for those who expected a fully-featured theme a la Windows 7.

The three themes that you can download today from the Microsoft Store are the following:

Spiraling Fractals PREMIUM National Geographic Safari PREMIUM Abstract Bubbles PREMIUM

You can download the themes by clicking the links here and then installing them from the Microsoft Store.

How to use the themes on Windows 10

Once you install the themes, you should be able to enable them from the Settings app on a Windows 10 device. To do this, launch Settings and then follow this path:

Settings > Personalization > Themes

Simply click the theme thumbnail in Settings and then it should be automatically enabled. To change the desktop wallpaper and go to the previous/next desktop background, you can simply right-click the desktop.

“Rain drop. Drop of mist. Ice crystal. However water molecules morph, these 18 closeups of H20 in its various elements inspire delight. This 18-image set is free for Windows 10 Themes. These images are to be used as desktop wallpaper only,” the description of Abstract Bubbles reads.

Obviously, all themes are available free of charge, and I expect Microsoft to release new ones in the coming weeks, especially as the company is now getting ready to roll out a new feature update for Windows 10.
