Theme bringing 13 high-quality wallpapers to Windows 10 PCs

Microsoft has released a new theme for Windows 10 users, and since the Halloween is just around the corner, this time the focus has been on pumpkins entirely.

The so-called Pumpkin Season theme for Windows 10 comes with a collection of 13 different wallpapers, which users of Microsoft’s latest operating system can install for free on their devices.

However, it’s worth noting that this theme requires Windows 10 Fall Creators Update or newer, so you must be running a supported Windows 10 version to install it. Microsoft dropped support for Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703) as part of this month’s Patch Tuesday cycle, and users are now strongly recommended to upgrade to continue receiving updates and security fixes.

How to install the theme

Downloading and installing the theme isn’t rocket science and Microsoft publishing the content on the Microsoft Store makes the whole process a lot easier.

What you need to do is click Install on the Microsoft Store to get the theme and wait for the process to complete. When the theme is already on your system, follow the next path to enable it:

Settings > Personalization > Themes Just remember to save your theme before setting up a new one, as this could come in handy if you want to return to your previous desktop at a later time.

Once the theme is enabled on your system, you can simply cycle through wallpapers by right-clicking the desktop and hitting the option called Next desktop background.

Prior to Windows 10, Microsoft offered such themes directly on its website, but now that the Microsoft Store becomes the one destination for everything, it makes more sense for this customization file to be released here. More such themes are likely on their way given that we’re approaching the holiday season and we’ll keep you updated on new releases.
