Microsoft continues the work on Windows 11, and this week, the company shipped a new preview build to users enrolled in the Windows Insider program.

This time, the build that went live in the Windows Insider program is 25262, and it come with support for using Widgets without signing in, as well as a small update for Media Player.

The focus is therefore mostly on fixing bugs and improving the overall performance in Windows 11, with Microsoft reminding users that the December 2022 Bug Bash is already live and is projected to come to an end on Monday.

“Insiders in the Dev and Beta Channels will have seen quests light up in the Feedback Hub covering various scenarios we’re looking for feedback on. Take the opportunity to try out some new features and let us know how things are going! The Bug Bash will be running from now through to 11:59pm PST December 12th. Insiders who participate (by filing feedback or completing quests on the latest builds for their channel) will receive a badge in the Feedback Hub once the Bug Bash is over,” the software giant explains.

More goodies for insiders

As for the Media Player approach, the new version of the app includes a small improvement to make it easier to browse the media on your device by folder (something which honestly should have been there from the very beginning).

“We are rolling out an update to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel for Media Player (version 11.2211.34.0 ) that brings the ability to browse through your video library by folder,” the company explained in the official release notes of the new build.

Users can download the new build right now from Windows Update, as long as they are enrolled in the Dev channel of the Windows Insider program.
