Microsoft has recently released a new Windows 10 wallpaper pack that includes a collection of ten different 4K desktop backgrounds.

Called Earth Day, this pack is offered to Windows 10 users in the form of a theme, and it is specifically supposed to celebrate Earth Day 2019.

“This Earth Day 2019, embrace the fragile beauty of threatened and endangered species and habitats from around the world – in stunning 4K, a free exclusive 10 image set in 4K for Windows 10 Themes,” the theme description reads, as noticed by HTNovo.

This collection of high-quality wallpapers is obviously available free of charge and can be installed from the Microsoft Store just like any other application.

Once downloaded and installed, the theme can be enabled on any Windows 10 device by heading over to the Settings app > Personalization > Themes. Simply select Earth Day and your desktop wallpaper should be automatically changed.

Theme requirements

Like all the other wallpaper-based themes, you can jump from one background to another by right-clicking the desktop and choosing to head over to the next or previous image.

If you want to install this wallpaper pack/theme, you must be running Windows 10 Creators Update or newer – and you should actually be running a newer version of Windows 10, as Microsoft no longer supports Windows 10 Fall Creators and older. In other words, the Creators Update itself isn’t supported anymore, which means you must update to April 2018 Update (version 1803) or October 2018 Update (version 1809) to continue getting security improvements.

To download the Earth Day wallpaper pack, head over to the Microsoft Store by clicking this link (this page opens in a browser, but you can then launch it in the Microsoft Store app to install it on your device).
