Microsoft has just rolled out another preview build for Windows insiders, despite the company originally saying that no new release would happen this week due to a rollback issue.

Windows 10 build 17677 is available right now for Fast and Skip Ahead rings, and it brings major improvements for Microsoft Edge, the default Windows 10 browser replacing Internet Explorer.

In this build, Microsoft has redesigned the Edge settings menu, which now comes with icons for each item, as well as keyboard shortcut support. More importantly, options are organized in categories that make more sense for users, so it’s easier to find the settings that you’re looking for.

Microsoft has also added new options to the Download pane, as well as new functionality for the Jump List, letting you easily load top sites by simply right-clicking the Edge icon on the taskbar.

There are several Narrator improvements as well, and Microsoft says it should now be able to use the scan mode in order to select content in Edge, Word, Outlook, Mail, and the rest of apps handling text.

“Standard shift- selection commands can be used as well as Control + A for the entire document. Caps + Shift + Down Arrow will speak the current selection. For a full list of selection commands, you can refer to Narrator’s Show Commands List by pressing Caps+F1. Once content is selected you can copy it to the clipboard by pressing Control + C. Formatting information will also be retained,” the company explains.

Build 17677 also comes with small changes in Task Manager to no longer display suspended UWP apps in the Processes tab, as well as kernel debugging improvements.

As with every new preview build, there are known bugs and general improvements, and you can check out the full changelog in the box after the jump.
