All insiders in the Slow ring getting build 18362.10019

Microsoft has released a new Windows 10 19H2 build, but this time the company keeps things simple and ships it to everyone in the Slow ring.

Previously, Microsoft used a rather confusing approach, releasing different 19H2 builds to users in the same ring. The difference was made by feature availability, as some updates activated new features, while others kept them turned off.

Windows 10 build 18362.10019 resolves all of this by going live for all Windows insiders in the Slow ring, and the new features are now enabled for everyone. Microsoft explains the following:

> IF you received Build 18362.10014 with 19H2 features turned OFF by default on 8/19 – you WILL receive Build 18362.10019 today with all 19H2 features turned ON. > IF you received Build 18362.10015 with 19H2 features turned ON by default on 8/19 – you WILL receive Build 18362.10019 today with all 19H2 features turned ON.

What’s new in Windows 10 19H2?

Anyone joining the Slow ring now should be able to try out the new features.

And speaking of new features, there’s not much to discover in Windows 10 19H2, albeit a few notable improvements are there anyway.

For example, digital assistants other than Cortana can now work above the lock screen, and users can create new events in the Calendar using the Calendar flyout on the taskbar. Additionally, the notifications section of the Settings app has been fine-tuned with banner adds to show how changes affect notification behavior in real-time.

The full changelog is available in the box after the jump.

Windows 10 19H2 should be finalized this month and the public rollout to production devices should kick off sometime in October. Microsoft hasn’t yet confirmed these dates, but we’re getting closer to the moment when the development of the next feature update for Windows 10 is supposed to be complete.
