The annual event could take place on May 23-25

Microsoft Build is one of the most anticipated events in the tech world every year, especially as it allows the software giant to get in touch with developers directly and discuss the latest improvements for certain products like Windows and Microsoft 365.

Before the global health crisis emerged in 2020, the tickets for Microsoft Build only needed a few minutes to sell out, and this shows just how many developers out there want to attend the event.

Since 2020, Build switched to a different approach. Last year, for example, Microsoft indeed decided to host an in-person event, but only with limited seats, whereas everybody else was allowed to join online.

No information has been shared on how Microsoft plans to organize Build this year, but the most recent leak seems to reveal when the event is supposed to take place.

@XenoPanther on Twitter revealed that the Microsoft Build page source already includes a reference to the potential dates of the event. The page source suggests Build could take place on May 23-25 this year, and while this could very well be a placeholder and updated at a later time, the date aligns with the typical schedule for the event anyway.

Last year, Microsoft Build took place on May 24-26, so in many ways, the found dates could be accurate.

The Redmond-based software giant itself is expected to come up with an official announcement sooner rather than later. A message posted on the official website indicates that Microsoft is getting ready to launch the registration, so perhaps the date was included in the page source ahead of this big announcement.

No information is available right now as to whether Build 2023 is going to be a digital or in-person event, but the full details on this front should be shared by the company itself soon.
