Several Microsoft 365 services went down earlier today, and it appears that Xbox Live sign-ins are also affected by the outage.

In other words, some users trying to sign in to their Xbox One consoles may not be able to do it, and Microsoft says it’s already working on a fix.

At the time of writing, the Xbox Live Status page indicates that the core services are working fine, but it does confirm that some issues may be experienced with certain games like eFootball PES 2020 and Need for Speed Heat.

On the other hand, Microsoft confirmed on Twitter that it was investigating issues with several Microsoft 365 services affecting both enterprises and consumers. Some users can’t log in to their Microsoft accounts – everything appears to be running correctly here in Europe, as I was able to sign in to my account just fine.

“We’re investigating reports of issues affecting multiple Microsoft 365 services. We will provide additional updates shortly,” Microsoft said a few hours ago. “We've identified a recent update that caused networking issues for multiple Microsoft 365 enterprise and consumer services. We've reverted the update and confirmed that services are recovering,” the company said.

Windows 10 activation issues

Microsoft claims the Microsoft Account sign-in problems and the outage hitting Microsoft 365 are not related whatsoever.

“We're also troubleshooting an issue with Microsoft Service Account (MSA) sign-in for consumer services, which does not seem to be related, and will provide more information shortly,” the company said on Twitter.

Furthermore, some users claimed they were unable to activate Windows 10 Home on new devices or create a new Microsoft account.

While Microsoft says it has already resolved these issues, there are users still complaining of sign-in issues, so there’s a chance the fix is rolling out gradually and everything should return to normal soon for everyone.
