The heavily leaked Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones from Google are supposed to make their first appearance as the main highlights during the Made by Google event officially announced on October 9th, at 8 AM PT/11 AM ET and will be held at the Spring Studios in New York, NY.

The two next-gen smartphone models are not the only hardware expected to be released during the event, with one hypothetical new model of Google Pixel Buds and two Pixelbooks running Chrome OS being on the short list of new items to be added to Google's hardware roster.

Furthermore, rumors say that Google might also release their Smart Display running Google Home and which will help users to perform actions such as making calls and playing YouTube videos with the help of the Google Assistant.

Google's Pixel 3 XL will borrow the notch from Apple's iPhone X

Google already sent the invites to select media members with a “I <3 NY” headline, confirming the change of date and location for this year's event (the previous ones took place on October 4th, at aa San Francisco location), as well as the now almost certain unveil of their Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones.

The Pixel 3 XL already made a few appearances in the news this year, with one of them being spotted in the wild featuring the notch everyone knows from Apple's iPhone X and adopted by more and more smartphone manufacturers since iPhone X's release.

According to the leaked Pixel 3 XL photos, the notch will be the one housing the phone's front dual-camera configuration with a single lens, while the back of the device will feature a single camera.

As for their insides, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL devices are presumed to run the newly revealed Android Pie earlier this summer and with a Snapdragon 845 chip which might be paired with as much RAM as possible, probably up to 6 GB RAM.
