The Document Foundation released today the third maintenance update to the latest LibreOffice 6.3 open-source and cross-platform office suite series for all supported platforms.

The LibreOffice 6.3.3 update is here to add a month's worth of bug fixes since LibreOffice 6.3.2, improving the quality and compatibility of the LibreOffice 6.3 office suite, which is currently still targeted at power users and technology enthusiasts. This release contains a total of 83 changes, as detailed here and here.

"For enterprise-class deployments, TDF strongly recommends sourcing LibreOffice from one of the ecosystem partners to get long-term supported releases, dedicated assistance, custom new features and other benefits, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs)," said Italo Vignoli in today's announcement.

LibreOffice 6.3.4 expected in mid-December

The release cycle of the LibreOffice 6.3 office suite will continue with the LibreOffice 6.3.4 point release, which is expected to hit the streets in mid-December with even more bug fixes, updated translations, and other changes that contribute to the overall stability and reliability of LibreOffice 6.3.

Two other point releases are planned for the LibreOffice 6.3 series, LibreOffice 6.3.5 and LibreOffice 6.3.6, due for release next year in February and April respectively. LibreOffice 6.3 will be supported with stability and security updates until May 29, 2020. Meanwhile, The Document Foundation recently kicked off the development of LibreOffice 6.4.

While LibreOffice 6.3 isn't yet ready for enterprise deployments, users who already have it installed are recommended to update as soon as possible to LibreOffice 6.3.3, which they can download right now for GNU/Linux, macOS, and Windows operating system through our free portal software. You can also update on Mac and Windows using the built-in OTA update mechanism.
