The Document Foundation announced today the release of the third maintenance update to the latest LibreOffice 6.2 open-source office suite for all supported platforms, including GNU/Linux, macOS, and Windows.

LibreOffice 6.2.3 is here about a month after the release of LibreOffice 6.2.2 to add another layer of bug fixes and improvements to various of the components included in the beloved open source office suite used by millions of computer users worldwide. LibreOffice 6.2.3 contains a total of 92 changes to make your LibreOffice experience more stable and reliable.

"LibreOffice 6.2.3 represents the bleeding edge in term of features for open source office suites, and as such is not optimized for enterprise class deployments, where features are less important than robustness. Users wanting a more mature version can download LibreOffice 6.1.5, which includes some months of back-ported fixes," said Italo Vignoli.

LibreOffice 6.2.4 expected to arrive at the end of May

While The Document Foundation still recommends the LibreOffice 6.2 release to power users and tech-savvy individuals, we suggest upgrading to today's LibreOffice 6.2.3 release if you want to use the latest office suite technologies. If you're more inclined to the stable aspect of LibreOffice, than stick to the LibreOffice 6.1 series, which is supported until May 29, 2019.

LibreOffice 6.2.4 will be the next maintenance update to the LibreOffice 6.2 series, expected to arrive at the end of May, which will mark the LibreOffice 6.2 office suite as ready for enterprise deployments. Meanwhile, you can download LibreOffice 6.2.3 for GNU/Linux, macOS, and Windows right now from our free software portal and update your LibreOffice 6.2 installations as soon as possible.
