If you don't want to buy Apple's latest iPhone X, nor any of the Android phones released lately with the same notch design, you should save your money for Lenovo's upcoming Z5 smartphone.

According to a leak posted on Twitter by renowned designer Ben Geskin, Lenovo is working on an iPhone X clone that won't have a display notch, but an edge-to-edge screen like we've always wanted from a smartphone in 2018.

As you can see from the mockup created by the talented Ben Geskin, the Lenovo Z5 has a stunning design with an edge-to-edge display and incredible slim bezels. So Lenovo could finally be the first technology company to release a phone with an edge-to-edge screen.

Geskin said on Twitter that Lenovo's Vice President Chang Cheng claimed recently that the Lenovo Z5 features "four technological breakthroughs" and "18 patented technologies," which are needed to achieve a front panel where 95 percent is the screen.

The Lenovo Z5 smartphone is coming June 2018

The leak also revealed the fact that Lenovo is expected to launch the Android-powered Lenovo Z5 smartphone sometime next month, but no other details have been shared about a release date and technical specifications of the device at the moment of writing.

With that in mind, a few questions may be preoccupying the minds of those who would want to buy Lenovo's upcoming smartphone, such as where's the front camera and speaker, and if the device will be implementing in-display fingerprint scanning technology.

If Lenovo indeed has some groundbreaking technologies and it managed to create a smartphone with an edge-to-edge display and no notch, Apple and the rest of the Android smartphone manufacturers will have to come up with new, similar models later this year. Fingers crossed.
