Google's Pixel 4 smartphone is coming, and it promises upgraded camera and components, as well as a plethora of new functions and enhancements for a next-generation Android experience.

Google is working hard on the fourth generation of its Android-powered Pixel phone, which should hit the streets later this year. There's been several leaks about the Pixel 4 already, some even from Google itself, but the latest is a promo video that offers a glimpse at smartphone's features.

Posted by Pro Android on YouTube, the Pixel 4 promo video suggests the upcoming smartphone will feature a camera capable of taking photos of stars and the Milky Way. Astrophotography in a smartphone is something that every photographer is drooling over, but it looks like Google managed to do it after all.

For astrophotography, you usually need to hold shutter of the camera open for a few seconds to capture the night sky, and no smartphone is capable of doing that at the moment. Also, you need to have your camera mounted on a tripod as any tiny movement will ruin your photo, so we're curious to see how Google achieved this with the Pixel 4's camera.

Navigation gestures, improved Google Assistant

Of course, Pixel 4's camera is also capable of taking much better photos in dark environments, but some of the existing smartphones on the market can already achieve that. Apart from the enhanced camera, the Pixel 4 will also feature navigation gestures for a touchless experience and a much-improved Google Assistant, according to the leaked promo video.

Google hasn't announced yet when the Pixel 4 will hit the shelves, powered by Android 10, but we believe it will be officially unveiled in the coming months, so you shouldn't think twice what Christmas present to buy to your loved ones if they're into astrophotography.
