We finally get to see how it looks in real life

A couple of close-up Pixel 4 photos have surfaced online, revealing the true look of the device and how it looks in hand.

Details about the upcoming Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL have been slow to arrive, but they’ve been trickling at a steady pace. It’s unclear whether Google intended to keep quiet regarding the launch of Pixel 4 or if they are comfortable with leaks that surfaced so far.

What’s interesting about all of these leaks, apart from what they actually reveal, is the fact that they seem to arrive in an orderly fashion. They are slowly revealing more and more details about the phones. The same can be said about these latest photos, which add another layer of information to the existing data.

Nothing new, just some context

Either Google is very bad at keeping secrets or Pixel 4 is one of the most leaked phones out there. The launch if more than a month away, but we already know a great deal about the phones.

From the photos, published by Mishaal Rahman on Twitter, we can see that it’s the regular Pixel 4, not the XL version. It runs the upcoming Android 10, and we can see the small bezel on the bottom and the larger one on top. Google dropped the notch because they couldn’t fit everything, and it’s probably a good thing.

It sports a single camera on the front, and a few of the sensors are already visible, but the good news is that top bezel is not as big as we expected, even though it has to make space for a couple of face IR unlock cameras, an ambient light and proximity sensor, the Soli radar chip, the face unlock dot projector, the face unlock face illuminator, the speaker, and the actual camera.

As for the back, the square housing of the camera module is visible, with a 16MP telephoto lens and another 12MP regular camera. It’s rather glossy, unlike the previous two generations which had partial matte surfaces.

Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are expected to arrive by the end of October. It’s based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, features 6GB of RAM, and OLED 90Hz displays.
