The new iPhone generation that Apple will unveil in just a few hours will include three models, all of them successors to the devices currently on the market, but according to a new leak, these upgraded smartphones will be more affordable than the ones they replace.

However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that all iPhones would get cheaper, as only some configurations will come with a price cut versus the existing generation.

Specifically, the leak allegedly coming from a Taiwanese telecom indicates that the iPhone 11, which is the iPhone XR successor, will start at $749 with 64GB storage. A second version with 256GB storage will be available for $899, so not much is going to change from a pricing perspective for the LCD iPhone.

Cheaper iPhone 11

On the other hand, the iPhone 11 Pro, which will replace the iPhone XS, will start at $999 and come with 128GB storage. Previously, the base model was sold with 64GB storage.

The 256GB version will be cheaper than in the case of the iPhone XS, as it’ll cost $1099, and a $150 price cut is expected for the 512GB model too, as the leak claims it’ll be sold for $1199.

iPhone 11 Pro Max, which will replace the iPhone XS Max, will align with the discount strategy planned for its smaller sibling. The base model will be upgraded from 64GB to 128GB storage while the $1099 price tag will stay in place. The 256GB version will cost $1199, down $50 from the iPhone XS Max, while the 512GB configuration will be priced at $1299, again an $150 discount versus the previous generation.

These prices, however, are yet to be confirmed, so take them with a healthy dose of skepticism, at least for a few hours until Apple officially introduces the new iPhones.
