Microsoft continues the work on polishing Windows 11, so the most recent preview build shipped to the Dev channel of the Windows Insider program also includes more refinements in terms of how the operating system looks.

More specifically, the software giant continues to work on the transition to more modern visuals, so this latest build, for example, includes a new look for one more dialog in the OS.

The message that you see when an app can’t run on the device because of various reasons is now using the modern look that you’d expect in Windows 11, though the software giant says the dark theme isn’t yet working as expected and more general polishing is required.

“We have updated the dialog that shows when an app has a known compatibility issue to use the new Windows 11 design. The dialog is a work-in-progress, and you may see issues with it in dark theme. As always, file feedback in Feedback Hub for any issues you might see,” Microsoft says.

In addition, the search box integrated into the Start menu is also using a more refined look with more rounded corners in order to align with the look of the search box in the taskbar.

On the other hand, when it comes to looks, the company explains that the notification dialogs in Windows Security are now back to the original look because more work under their hood is required.

“We are temporarily disabling the updated the Windows Security (firewall) notification dialogs that match the Windows 11 visuals that we introduced with Build 25267. We plan to re-introduce this change in a future flight after addressing some bugs,” the software giant notes.

All in all, Windows 11 is slowly but surely getting the modern look that it deserves, so expect more polishing in the coming preview builds as well.
