It's official, Apple started sending out invites to the press for its September event, which will take place for the second year in a row on September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater on Apple Park in Cupertino, California.

In less than two weeks from today, the smartphone and smartwatch market witness breathtaking technologies, as Apple is expected to unveil a plethora of new devices on September 12, 2018, starting with the next-generation iPhone devices and continuing with the rumored Apple Watch Series 4 smartwatch.

Of course, Apple hasn't revealed what devices it will unveil, but we all know that each year the Cupertino, California-based company will launch new iPhone devices, and this year is special because we're waiting for the next-generation iPhone X device, which we hope it will ditch the notch once and for all.

Besides the next-generation iPhone models, which are rumored as iPhone 9, iPhone 9 Plus, and iPhone Xs or iPhone X Plus, Apple is expected to unveil the next-generation Apple Watch smartwatch as Apple Watch Series 4 since the company already filled six new models in the Eurasian database earlier this month.

The next-gen iPhone and Apple Watch devices will be powered by the soon-to-be-released iOS 12 and watchOS 5 operating systems respectively and are expected to hit the streets later in September. Of course, pre-orders should kick off right after the event for those who can't wait to upgrade their devices.

The event will be live streamed

Apple will live stream the special event on September 12, 2018, on his events website for iPhone, iPad, and Mac users running a recent operating system release and using the Safari web browser, as well as on Windows 10 PCs with the Microsoft Edge web browser. Rumors say the event will also be streamed on Twitter, for the first time.

We'll know more about the event as Apple preps a special page on his events site for it, and, as usual, we'll try to live blog it here on Softpedia News to keep you guys up-to-date with what the Cupertino, California-based tech giant will unveil next month on September 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. PT. Stay tuned!
