Exynos very likely to face the cruel reality

Samsung Galaxy S23 is just around the corner, and thanks to leaks that surfaced in the last few weeks, we already know pretty much everything about the new models.

While I’m not trying to disappoint Samsung fans out there, one thing that we learned lately is that the Galaxy S23 wouldn’t be much different in terms of looks from its predecessor.

In other words, the new models will look like the current siblings, obviously with a few improvements here and there that would sometimes be harder to stop. For example, the Galaxy S23 Ultra seems to come with a more premium camera bump, but otherwise, expect the new series to be very similar to the Galaxy S22.

However, bigger changes are happening inside, and a recent report confirmed one of the most important.

Samsung is going to offer the Snapdragon-powered version of the Galaxy S23 all over the world and not just in the United States.

This strategy was used by Samsung for many years already, but on the most recent generations of the Galaxy S, the whole thing backfired in the most unexpected way. Due to the performance differences between the two processor options on the Galaxy S models (Exynos vs. Snapdragon), customers have been requesting Samsung to bring the Qualcomm variant to other markets as well.

After all, it doesn’t make much sense for people in Europe to pay even more than Americans for a brand-new Samsung Galaxy S phone and get a slower processor that gets much hotter and doesn’t match the performance of its Qualcomm alternative.

This is changing with the release of the Galaxy S23 series, as the Qualcomm version will be available everywhere. Exynos is therefore very likely to face the cruel reality, so it’ll certainly be interesting to see how many people end up buying it.
