Apple planning more design refinements on the device

The iPhone 15 series is expected to be the first model to drop the Lightning port, and now a new leak provides us with a closer look at the design of the new devices as well.

ShrimpApplePro, who has a mixed track on Apple scoops so far, claims in new tweets that the iPhone 15 lineup will have the same display sizes as the current models.

In other words, Apple isn’t planning any changes in terms of screen dimensions, but this isn’t necessarily a surprise. This means the iPhone 15 will come in two 6.1-inch versions (standard and Pro) and two 6.7-inch devices (Plus and Pro Max).

Then, the leaker says the iPhone 15 Pro will be the one getting a more refined look. The Cupertino-based tech giant is apparently working on further polishing for the Pro models, so they will sport thinner bezels with curved edges. The display continues to be flat, the leaker claims, but the bezels will be curved, contributing to a more modern look overall.

You get Dynamic Island, and you get Dynamic Island…

The standard iPhone will also get the Dynamic Island, but again, this isn’t necessarily a surprise. The feature has been rumored to come to the standard models ever since the iPhone 14 lineup was announced, so it’s all just a matter of time until the Dynamic Island goes live for everybody.

Other than that, the leaker claims we’re not going to get any other major design updates. The iPhone 15 lineup will use the same Dynamic Island cutouts, Ceramic Shield, and no difference in terms of the camera hole – this could indicate that Apple might not be planning any upgrade on this front, but this is rather unlikely.

The iPhone 15 generation is projected to be announced in the fall of this year, so expect more information on the design and the specifications to make the headlines in the coming months.
