The feature will most likely be available on Pro models

Apple is projected to take the wraps off a new iPhone generation in the fall, but so far, the company has remained completely tight-lipped on everything related to these new models.

Of course, this approach isn’t necessarily surprising, as Apple never talks about its upcoming products. But on the other hand, all the silence does nothing more than to fuel the information swirling around the web, therefore giving birth to some rumors that may or may not be true.

One of the most intriguing tidbits claimed Apple might be planning to bring always-on display support to the iPhone 14, though at this point, this is still something that is yet to be confirmed even by more reliable sources.

Most recently, however, a solid indication that AOD might be coming, at least to the Pro models, was offered by well-known and very reliable analyst Ross Young. In a tweet earlier this week, Young said that while he can’t confirm the integration of AOD in the iPhone 14 Pro, he does expect this feature to be available.

Big changes coming to Pro models

The Pro models launching this year are very likely to come with several other big changes, including the demise of the notch.

That’s right, Apple could kill off the notch and instead go for a punch-hole design similar to what you can find right now on Samsung devices. The Face ID components would therefore be integrated right into the display, which means users would get a bigger screen estate overall.

The change would only take place on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max would stick with the already famous notch.

Of course, it’s important to keep in mind everything is still in the rumor phase, so take everything with a healthy pinch of salt for now.
