Apple is projected to announce the new iPhone 12 generation on October 13, and new information that reached the web today provides us with a closer look at the storage options available on the new models.

Leakster Jon Prosser claims that the iPhone 12 mini, which is the new 5.4-inch model launching this year, will start at 64GB of storage, obviously in an attempt to make it super-affordable. Of course, don’t expect this model to be really cheap, as Apple has a different notion of what affordable actually manes.

The 5.4-inch iPhone 12 will also be offered with 128GB and 256GB storage options, according to the same source.

The 6.1-inch iPhone 12 will be offered with pretty much the same storage configurations, so a 64GB model will be available as well, probably again with the purpose to keep the price at a lower level.

Official launch on October 13

On the other hand, both the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max will start at 128GB of storage, and there’s a good chance a 256GB option will also be available. What we still don’t know, however, if Apple wants to go higher than that and offer a 512GB configuration on these top models.

Prosser reiterates that the launch event is likely to take place on October 13, with the first shipment of the iPhone 12 units to head over to distributors on October 5.

In other words, we’re currently in the last stages of the iPhone 12 launch event, and the new models should be here in some two weeks. If everything goes according to the plan, sales should start by this time next month, so it’s now just a matter of time until we are able to get our hands on the iPhone 12.

Of course, this is just a rumor for now, so take everything with a pinch of salt.
