Apple is kicking off the pre-order program for two of its four iPhone models on Friday, but on the other hand, some carriers across the world have already started the program on Thursday.

More specifically, Taiwanese telecom operators, including Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) and Taiwan Mobile started receiving pre-orders a few hours ago, and according to a report from Digitimes, all iPhones were sold out in just 45 minutes.

iPhone 12 pre-orders kicking off on Friday

Apple announced four different iPhone models this week, out of which two will go up on pre-order on Friday. iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, the two devices that come with a 6.1-inch screen, will be available starting this Friday at Apple.com and authorized retailers, while the shipping to the first customers is projected to begin a week later.

So if you pre-order an iPhone 12 today, then you should receive it the next Friday.

On the other hand, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max will become available as part of the pre-order program launched by Apple on November 6, so we still have to wait three more weeks until we can finally reserve the new models. The shipping of these two devices is projected to begin a week later.

Needless to say, the iPhone 12 is likely to sell out pretty fast all over the world, though it remains to be seen if all models record the same high demand.

Apple itself expects the iPhone 12 (which is a direct successor to the iPhone 11) to be the best-selling model in the entire lineup, despite the iPhone 12 mini actually begin the most affordable device this year. Apple will kick off the pre-order program in just a few hours.
