The work on the new iPhone generation coming in September seems to advance at the expected pace, as several devices have just made their way online in the Eurasian Economic Commission database.

Needless to say, while these listings do not reveal anything beyond the model numbers of the iPhones launching this year, they do confirm that Apple is planning upgrades for all 2018 models.

The model numbers in the Eurasian database are the following: A2111, A2160, A2161, A2215, A2216, A2217, A2218, A2219, A2220, A2221, and A2223.

For the time being, it’s not yet clear which one is which, but Apple is expected to unveil three iPhones in September, all of them successor to the 2018 generation.

Last generation with an LCD iPhone

The 2019 iPhone family will include, just like the existing lineup, two different OLED models which will launch as successors to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

At the same time, Apple is also planning to introduce an iPhone XR successor with an LCD screen. This will be the last iPhone with an LCD iPhone, as people familiar with the matter said Apple would make the full switch to OLED beginning with the 2020 iPhone. This means that either the iPhone XR would be abandoned next year or upgraded to an OLED screen as well.

In terms of hardware upgrades, the new iPhone XR is expected to feature two cameras instead of one, while the iPhone XS Max could boast a triple-camera configuration. A square camera bump is expected on the back, as per leaks that have made the rounds earlier this year.

Obviously, Apple will introduce a new chip, along with other refinements under the hood. It’s not yet clear if Apple also wants to increase the amount of RAM and storage on the iPhone.

The debut will take place in September, and expect further details to leak as we get closer to the launch.
