The first time an Apple event makes it to YouTube

It’s now only a matter of hours until Apple takes the wraps off the new-generation iPhones, and because not everyone will be able to attend the unveiling, the company plans to stream the event live as well.

The biggest change this year regarding the way the event is live streamed is that you can actually watch the iPhone 11 seeing daylight on YouTube as well.

Previously, Apple limited the supported platforms for the live stream to its own devices and Microsoft Edge on Windows 10, so bringing the show to YouTube is definitely a major step in the right direction.

The main reason is because YouTube is a service that’s available pretty much everywhere, regardless of platform and device, so you should be able to watch it on your smart TV, tablets, phones, PCs, and laptops even if they’re Chromebooks or run Linux.

Refreshed Apple Watch also expected

Needless to say, Apple will continue to live-stream the iPhone 11 launch on the Apple TV, and all Apple users will be able to watch it on their iPhones and iPads with Safari.

By the looks of things, it’s going to be a busy show, as Apple will introduce not only the new iPhone trio, but also refreshed versions of the Apple Watch. This information is yet to get a confirmation, but it looks like the company isn’t necessarily aiming for a new-generation Watch, but for an upgraded Series 4 model that would boast improved functionality, such as sleep tracking.

New MacBooks are also expected this fall, but there’s a chance they won’t be announced tomorrow, with Apple to hold a separate event later this year to announce its refreshed lineup of laptops.

You can find the embedded YouTube version of the Apple live-stream below, and you can also open it the YouTube app should you want to watch it on a mobile device.
