Both models come with Liquid Retina displays, Gigabit LTE

Apple unveiled the new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models with Liquid Retina displays and the A12X Bionic system on a chip (SoC) during the October 30 New York Special Event.

Apple's new iPad Pro also comes with a second-generation Apple Pencil designed to magnetically attach to the side of the iPad and wirelessly charge while being connected.

The Apple Pencil also comes with a touch sensor designed to make it possible for users to use tap-based controls designed to help make app interaction even more intuitive.

Moreover, the new iPad Pro devices are powered by Apple's 7nm A12X Bionic SoC featuring four performance cores and fore efficiency cores that provide for up to 35% faster single-core performance.

The A12X Bionic also comes with a performance controller designed to make it possible for the device to use all eight cores at the same time for a performance boost of roughly 90% during multi-threaded tasks.

Apple's new iPad Pro also features a seven-core Apple GPU that provides console-grade graphics and immersive AR user experiences.

"Apple’s next-generation Neural Engine is built for advanced machine learning in everything from photography to AR, completing up to 5 trillion operations per second," also says Apple's press release. "This enables fast Face ID, faster plane detection for AR apps and other new features that use real-time machine learning."

The new iPad Pros also come with built-in Face ID tech which allows users to take advantage of Apple's secure facial authentication system to authenticate and unlock their tablet.

The new 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $799 and the 12.9-inch one at $999, with storage options starting from 64 GB to 1 TB

Furthermore, iPad Pro bundles a USB-C connector which replaces Apple's Lightning port for "for charging, supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 for high-bandwidth data transfers up to twice the speed to and from cameras and musical instruments and drives external displays up to 5K."

With the help of Apple's iOS 12 operating system, the new iPad Pro also allows its users to communicate with friends and family via Group FaceTime calls where Animojis and Memojis can also be used.

The new iPad Pro models are available in silver and space gray finishes with storage configurations starting at 64 GB and going up to a 1TB option.

As Apple states in their press release, "The 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $799 (US) for the Wi-Fi model and $949 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at $999 (US) for the Wi-Fi model and $1,149 (US) for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model."

Customers can order their favorite iPad Pro model from apple.com, and starting November 7 from all Apple Store locations, Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers.
