More and more iOS devices out there are being updated to the latest version of the operating system, according to new data from Mixpanel, as the adoption is now getting close to 60%.

Right now, iOS 15 is said to be installed on 58 percent of the iPhones out there, while iOS 14’s market share has dropped to 36 percent.

Needless to say, more and more devices are expected to be updated to iOS 15 in the coming weeks, especially as we approach the launch of another important operating system update.

iOS 15.2 just around the corner

Apple is getting ready to release iOS 15.2, the next big operating system update that has already reached the release candidate phase.

Currently available for testing, iOS 15.2 comes with lots of improvements, including the App Privacy Report that provides information on how apps are using your data.

“App Privacy Report in Settings lets you see how often apps have accessed your location, photos, camera, microphone, contacts and more during the last seven days, as well as their network activity,” Apple explains.

At the same time, iOS 15.2 comes with Apple Music Voice Plan, a new feature that makes it possible for users to listen to their music with the digital assistant.

“Apple Music Voice Plan is a new subscription tier that gives you access to all songs, playlists, and stations in Apple Music using Siri. Just Ask Siri suggests music based on your listening history and likes or dislikes. Play it Again lets you access a list of your recently played music,” Apple said.

iOS 15.2 will be available for all devices that are already supported by iOS 15, and this means that the iPhone 6s and newer will all be allowed to download the new operating system version when it launches in a few days.
